India's medals at Asian Games 2026: Live tracker

The stage is set for India's campaign at the Asian Games 2026 in Japan's Aichi-Nagoya. The Games will be held from September 19 to October 4, with Nagoya City's Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium hosting the opening and closing ceremonies. A total of 469 medals will be on offer in 43 sports with events happening across 54 venues.

The 501-member Indian contingent is aiming to build on its best-ever Asian Games performance at Hangzhou in 2023, where the country won 106 medals, including 28 gold, to finish fourth in the standings.

Elavenil Valarivan - SILVER in women's 10m air rifle

After leading till the third last shot of the 10m air rifle individual final, Elanevil Valarivan was beaten to gold at the end by Japan's Hinata Taichi Games Record effort. Elavenil finished on 252.4, Hinata hit 253.0

Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod - SILVER in women's 10m air rifle team

India began their shooting campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on a high, winning a silver medal in the women's 10m air rifle team event. Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod combined for a total of 1898.0 points to finish second behind China, who topped the standings with a world-record score of 1904.2.

MMA

India's Suchika Tariyal confirms medal in traditional 60kg MMA event.

The 36-year-old defeated Mongolia's Altanchimeg Baigalmaa 2-0 to march into the semifinals of the event and securing a medal for India.
