Knicks star Jalen Brunson made a guest-starring appearance on "Law & Order: SVU" on Thursday.
The episode was titled "Forsaken," and Brunson played the role of Detective Jay Madison.
"Law & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay enters a restaurant while walking behind Jalen's dad and Knicks assistant coach, Rick. While the elder Brunson goes outside of the shot, the 2026 NBA Finals MVP is sitting at a bar with pizza in front of him. Hargitay congratulates Brunson on his "promotion," to which Brunson responds: "Focused on my goals. Gave it 110%. Things worked out."
He then talks about his notes regarding a recent encounter.
"Your boy Rick, a real pain in the ass. Blew a .25 and started yelling at me," Brunson said.
He explains the run-in further, which included a search. Once he finishes the story, Hargitay thanks Brunson and exits to take a phone call, concluding Brunson's near one-minute cameo.

Brunson spoke about his impending role on "Law & Order: SVU" after his 33-point performance Wednesday.
"It's a weird feeling, but grateful for the opportunity," he said. "Grateful for Mariska [Hargitay]. It's pretty cool."
NBC announced in September that Brunson would appear in the season's fifth episode, which aired Thursday. Details on Brunson's role weren't revealed at the time. Brunson was seen on the show's set in Brooklyn a day before NBC made the announcement.
Fresh off leading the Knicks to their first championship in 53 years, the following months have been full of pop culture appearances for Brunson.
Pop star Harry Styles' Halloween performance at Madison Square Garden included Brunson hopping on stage. He hosted the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" on Sept. 26 with teammates Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges joining during his monologue. Brunson also appeared in the opening of the Emmy Awards telecast that was hosted by Hargitay.
Hargitay is a Knicks fan who attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals as New York rallied from a 29-point deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 at Madison Square Garden, a victory that sparked the Knicks to their first title since 1973. Hargitay and Brunson hugged on the court after the game.
He and Hargitay have turned their mutual admiration for each other's work into a friendship. Brunson supported Hargitay during her Broadway performance in "Every Brilliant Thing" in June. Hargitay also appeared on Brunson's bus, alongside his father and wife, during the Knicks' championship parade.
