Source: Steelers' Roman Wilson expected to miss multiple weeks

Roman Wilson will miss multiple weeks because of a finger injury, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, joining the growing list of injured Pittsburgh Steelers wide receivers.

Wilson suffered the injury in the second quarter of Sunday's victory over the Indianapolis Colts. He was seen grabbing his left hand after an incomplete pass attempt from Aaron Rodgers and eventually was ruled out for the rest of the game.

Wilson is still getting more information on the injury and will seek a second opinion, the source told Fowler. He had a soft cast and a finger splint on his left arm in the locker room Monday morning.

Pittsburgh already is without veteran receiver Michael Pittman Jr., who was placed on injured reserve Saturday because of a foot injury. The Steelers also lost wideout/special teams ace Ben Skowronek, who left in the second quarter Sunday with a calf injury.

Steelers coach Mike McCarthy on Monday ruled out Wilson and Skowronek for Pittsburgh's Week 6 game at Tampa Bay.

The Steelers' passing game now will lean more on rookie second-round pick Germie Bernard, veteran Brandon Smith and the team's tight ends.

McCarthy also said they are bringing back Super Bowl champion linebacker Elandon Roberts, who was cut when Pittsburgh finalized its 53-man roster before the season, and signing him to their practice squad.

Wilson, 25, was off to a solid start in his third season with the Steelers. He has 14 receptions on 25 targets for 188 yards and two touchdowns, and entered Sunday's game with the second-most receiving targets on the team.
