Texas A&M coach Mike Elko said Monday that wide receiver and kick returner Terry Bussey is out for the season with a lower-body injury.
Bussey was hurt on the opening kickoff of the Aggies' 31-21 loss to Kentucky on Saturday, slipping and falling to the turf without contact, and was carted off the field.
"We'll look forward to him recovering and being back with us next year," Elko said.
Bussey, a junior, was on the preseason all-SEC team as a kick returner and was expected to play a bigger role in the offense this season after catching 17 and 18 passes the past two years.
A five-star recruit and the No. 1 athlete in the Class of 2024, Bussey had 7 catches for 92 yards and 4 carries for 10 yards and a touchdown so far this season.
