After threatening only through a pair of Szoboszlai free-kicks in the first half, the Reds finally found the breakthrough just shy of the hour mark, with Isak firing home what proved to be the winning goal. With an xG of just 0.76, the Cherries never quite did enough this afternoon following their European exploits in midweek, while the visitors just about deserved all three points after posting an xG of 1.57. Both sides return to Premier League action after the upcoming international break, with Bournemouth travelling to Chelsea and Liverpool hosting Manchester City as the Reds continue their search for a first home win of the campaign. As we approach the final 10 minutes, the onus is really on the home side to try and find a route back into this one. The Cherries are yet to record a win in the Premier League this season, but would snap your hand off for a point now.
