BALTIMORE -- Derrick Henry moved into seventh place on the NFL's all-time rushing list Thursday night, surpassing a running back that the Ravens' star long admired.
In the second quarter against the Jaguars, Henry used a 5-yard run to surpass LaDainian Tomlinson, who finished with 13,684 career yards rushing. Growing up, Henry had Tomlinson's jersey as well as his bobblehead.
Henry, 32, entered Thursday night needing 13 yards to move past Jerome Bettis for eighth all time and 35 yards to surpass Tomlinson. Lining up in Wildcat several times with the Lamar Jackson-less offense, Henry overtook Bettis in the first quarter before moving ahead of Tomlinson in the second.
He finished with 57 yards on 17 carries in Baltimore's 33-10 loss to the Jaguars, upping his career total to 13,707.
Up next for Henry is Curtis Martin, who is sixth on the all-time list with 14,101 rushing yards.
