News: 2 days agoColeman is likely to serve as the Broncos' between-the-tackles complement to starter J.K. Dobbins this season, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.

Spin: Coleman was selected in the fourth round of April's draft after completing his four-year college career with a 2025 campaign with Washington during which he compiled 758 yards and 15 touchdowns on 156 carries over 12 contests. He also added 31 catches for 354 yards and two scores during his senior season. The Huskies played with an up-tempo style, so Coleman was on the field for all downs, resulting in him becoming a capable receiver and pass blocker. The running back is considered a more physical back than RJ Harvey, who also is set to serve as a reserve option behind Dobbins this season, and as a result, Coleman could be ticketed to serve more frequently as a direct replacement for Dobbins.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Coleman was selected by the Broncos in the fourth round of April's draft. He is a 220-pound back who was highly efficient during four collegiate seasons at Arizona and Washington. Coleman didn't get much pre-contact help (1.80 YBC), but he made up for it after contact (3.73 YAC ranks second in this rookie RB class) and his career 3.4 forced missed tackle rate is best in this class. Also solid as a receiver and blocker, Coleman has three-down ability, but may not get that opportunity until 2027. The rookie will begin his career behind J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. Coleman should be added only if Dobbins or Harvey goes down with an injury.
