Spin: A full practice participant all week, Coleman appears ready to return just as Tyler Badie (thumb) is set to miss at least one game. If Coleman is activated from injured reserve before Sunday, his role could include some of the snaps in clear passing situations. J.K. Dobbins remains the favorite to start and lead the team in carries, but his status as the lead runner may be on thin ice, as he's averaging just 3.3 yards per carry.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Coleman was selected by the Broncos in the fourth round of April's draft. He is a 220-pound back who was highly efficient during four collegiate seasons at Arizona and Washington. Coleman didn't get much pre-contact help (1.80 YBC), but he made up for it after contact (3.73 YAC ranks second in this rookie RB class) and his career 3.4 forced missed tackle rate is best in this class. Also solid as a receiver and blocker, Coleman has three-down ability, but may not get that opportunity until 2027. The rookie will begin his career behind J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. Coleman should be added only if Dobbins or Harvey goes down with an injury.
