The most interesting MVP odds movement at this point is for second place on the board, with Aaron Judge (+100) and Shohei Ohtani (-330) both extending their odds leads in the American League and National League, respectively.
In the AL, Yordan Alvarez (+450) and Bobby Witt Jr. (+550) are making the best cases to challenge Judge, while Gunnar Henderson (35-1) dropped off significantly amid a run of poor play. On the NL side, Matt Olson made a huge week-over-week jump from 25-1 to +900 to be second on the board, while Elly De La Cruz (22-1), Corbin Carroll (25-1) and Kyle Schwarber (28-1) are lurking.
Cam Schlittler (+260) has maintained the lead atop the AL Cy Young odds board he took when former leader Tarik Skubal (off the board) was ruled out for 2-3 months following elbow surgery. Since that new broke on May 4, Dylan Cease (+320) and Jacob deGrom (+700) have made significant gains in the odds, while Max Fried (+700), Jose Soriano (11-1) and Bryan Woo (20-1) have lengthened.
Paul Skenes (+200) remains the Cy Young odds leader in the NL, but Cristopher Sanchez has made significant gains to be second on the board, going from +800 to +450 in the span of a week. Chris Sale (+550), Ohtani (+700) and Yoshinobu Yamamoto (+700) comprise the next tier, with Jacob Misiorowski making a big move from 20-1 to 12-1 after a strong week.
Rookie of the Year in both leagues has been competitive. In the AL, Munetaka Murakami (+150) and Kevin McGonigle (+160) continue to trade off for the lead, while in the NL, Nolan McLean (+290) has taken the top spot from Sal Stewart (+340), with JJ Wetherholt (+370), Konnor Griffin (+450) and Moises Ballesteros (+800) trailing just behind.
