Georgia Tech cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe was taken off the field on a stretcher in the third quarter of Saturday's 45-24 loss to Tennessee on Saturday after a collision with his teammate.
Mbakwe went to make a tackle, but instead his head collided with Jordan Walker's knee. Both players were injured as a result. Walker was eventually carried off the field by trainers, but Mbakwe stayed down on the turf for several minutes.
After he was placed on the stretcher, teammates kneeled around him in prayer and coach Brent Key was able to hold his hand. Mbakwe lifted one of his arms in the air as he was carted off.
After the game, coach Brent Key said Mbakwe was moving and responsive when he was being taken off the field. Mbakwe was taken to Grady Hospital.
In a social media post Saturday night, Mbakwe said he's "fine and feeling well."

Key didn't have any further updates on the junior cornerback, saying he was planning to check on him after he leaves the stadium.
