Alabama offensive guard Michael Carroll has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Kentucky, the school announced.
Carroll, a standout sophomore right guard, was downgraded to out on the team's official injury report without specifying the injury. The 6-foot-6, 324-pounder is the only returning starter from last season's offensive line.
A freshman All-American last season, Carroll started six games at right tackle in 2025 before moving inside to guard this offseason. He played 74 snaps in Alabama's 48-10 season-opening win over East Carolina last weekend and did not give up a sack.
Alabama is expected to start Mal Waldrep Jr. and William Sanders at the two guard spots vs. Kentucky.
Alabama running back AK Dear, wide receiver Noah Rogers, defensive backs Jorden Edmonds, Nick Sherman and Zyan Gibson, linebacker Cayden Jones, and defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman were also listed as out for Saturday's game.
