News: 2 days agoThe Liberty exercised their option with Fiebich (overseas commitment) on Thursday.

Spin: Fiebich has missed the start of the 2026 WNBA regular season while finishing her season with Spanish club Valencia. Her team's finals begin Thursday, and she could rejoin the Liberty at some point next week. It isn't very surprising to see New York exercise Fiebich's option after she averaged 8.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 28.1 minutes per game while serving exclusively as a starter across 37 regular-season appearances last year. The Liberty have been shorthanded to begin the year, and Fiebich could be in the mix for a starting role if Satou Sabally (cyst) is still sidelined once Fiebich returns to action.
