Eva Olid said Manchester United "deserved the three points" after a stoppage-time equaliser from Smilla Holmberg snatched a 1-1 draw for Arsenal at the Emirates.
The point -- United's first of the season -- leaves Olid's side second from bottom in the WSL but they looked a different team from the one which was beaten 5-0 at home by Chelsea last Sunday.
"We deserved the three points for the hard work and the effort," Olid said. "Of course, we need to create more chances. That is why I'm here.
"At the same time, we need to be aggressive going forward. We need time but today is the minimum that we have to deliver in the match. I hope we can improve the attacking side."
The Spaniard also reflected on the mood at the club following the chastening defeat last weekend.
"It has been an intense week because there were a lot of emotions from players and staff," Olid said.
"Nobody wants to lose 5-0. We grew as a team. The first day after losing 5-0 is not easy for anyone.
"We spoke and said we needed energy this week and a positive mindset. The focus was the defensive shape. It's trying to get them more confidence.
"We had possession in the first half in periods but it's about being more creative. Keeping the ball is fine, but we need to break the last line of pressure, create chances and score more goals."

Arsenal boss Renee Slegers, meanwhile, said that she took positives from the mentality her players showed, but rued the similarities she saw with the Gunners' shock 0-0 draw with newly-promoted Crystal Palace last Sunday.
"Not turning dominance into danger," she said when asked for her biggest takeaway from the draw with United.
"I think similar reflection from last week, giving them too much time on the ball in the first half which we then did better in the second half."
She added: "It's a cocktail of things, there are some details in decision-making, some details in the technical execution.
"It's also that ruthlessness in front of goal but I know the players want it and they want to do that, they want to execute for Arsenal."
