Goal Brian Brobbey

GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! SEMENYO STRIKES AGAIN! Cherki sends a searching ball forward from the centre-circle, causing havoc in Sunderland's defence. Two defenders collide, and the ball loops past Haaland into the path of Semenyo. Much like his finish before the break, the Man City winger plants a powerful shot into the bottom corner! It's now 4-2 to City!
Showing immense strength, Brobbey holds up the ball while surely being fouled, then guides it on to Le Fee. The latter wastes a very good opening, though, as his attempted reverse ball is too clever for its own good.
The hosts are still unable to regain the upper hand they held in the 15 minutes before half-time. Sunderland are having plenty of the ball, and they're certainly not lacking in confidence.
Compared to the first half, it's been a more pedestrian pace since the restart. Haaland holds off Ballard and tees up Cherki to sweep a quick pass wide to Ndiaye. The winger then hares into the area, but his touch is loose and costs him a clear chance to shoot.
Despite demonstrating plenty of 'bouncebackability' today, Sunderland's chance of taking something from this game remains slim. According to Opta's live win predictor, they now have just a 3% chance of victory, and a 12% chance of claiming one point.
