Well, there we have it, Switzerland win the shoot-out 4-3 after a goalless draw after extra-time. It's more penalty heartache for Colombia, who were beaten by England on penalties in the last 16 back in 2018. It's a case of what might have been for the South Americans, who saw Lucumi hit the crossbar and Campaz fire wastefully over in the additional time - and they finished a superior xG of 1.03 to 0.35. To penalties it went, and Sanchez smashed the crossbar for Colombia, though Akanji leathering his effort over the top earned a reprieve. But Kobel saved Hernandez's effort, and Ruben Vargas netted the final spot-kick to put Switzerland into the last eight for the first time since 1954 when they were hosts. Lucumi can't continue, so on comes the veteran Mina.

A Quintero free-kick is flicked on, but is headed well wide. Rios clips it back into the area, but Switzerland cope with the danger. Lucumi now needs some treatment for Colombia.

OH DEAR! CAMPAZ FLUFFS HIS LINES! That was the moment, Akanji and Xhaka don't deal with a long ball, and Munoz steals in to clip the ball into the path of Campaz. He's one-on-one with Kobel, has time and space, but absolutely blasts it over the top. That was such a huge opportunity for Colombia!

Xhaka now hits a first-time effort from the very edge of the box, but he spoons it over the top. He was trying to get a bit of dip on it into the far side, but he gets the connection all wrong.

Quintero shifts inside Ruben Vargas, and bends one towards the top-left corner. But it's wide of the far post.

The pace has quietened back down a little bit, both teams are maybe a little reticent to take a risk that could prove costly.

Mojica tries to spray one wide to Diaz, but succeeds only in booting the ball out of play.

Campaz had a glorious chance to win it for the South Americans, but shot wildly over the top. Lucumi also crashed the crossbar in the first period of extra-time, but there was to be no breakthrough. So, it's down to a shoot-out, who can keep their nerve and make themselves a hero?

There was one minute of additional time displayed, just as Rios showed good feet before playing to Diaz on the left of the area. It was a little behind him, though, and his effort is blocked behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.
