The Netherlands have never failed to win a World Cup game having taken the lead twice. That might be about to change, unless they can find a late winner...
Now it's the Netherlands who are throwing men forward as they look to take the lead for a third time this evening. Dumfries crosses deep again towards the back post, but Koopmeiners can't keep his header down and Japan have a goal-kick.
Dutch defender Van de Ven is shown a yellow card for a tactical foul on Junya Ito. It's Japan who look most likely to claim all three points at the minute.
There will be SIX minutes of added time at the end of the second half. Time for one more twist?
Ogawa does superbly well to rise above everyone at the corner and head the ball onto Kamada before it sails into the top right-hand corner.
Japan are definitely in control of this one in the latter stages, but the Dutch are keeping them at bay for now. The Japan waves of attack just keep on coming, though...
OH. MY. WORD. JAPAN ARE LEVEL AGAIN!!! The Dutch have looked threatening from set-pieces all evening, yet it's Japan who look to have struck a painful blow at the death from Junya Ito's corner! It's a brilliant cross from the substitute, which finds the head of Ogawa. He then nods the ball onto the head of Kamada before it flies past Verbruggen in the Dutch goal. Scrappy, but they'll take it! Netherlands 2-2 Japan!
Nakamura teases an inviting ball across the Dutch goal, but there's no one there to get on the end of it and the Netherlands just about survive. This is tense now...
The Dutch also make a change, with Brobbey replacing Gakpo up top.
Japan make another switch, with Shiogai replacing Ueda.
The Netherlands' Depay is booked for a late collision with Taniguchi.
The Netherlands bring off Gravenberch, who is replaced by Ake for the final nine minutes.
CHANCE FOR SUGAWARA!! That's better from Japan, who go close to scoring as Sugawara combines well with Junya Ito down the right. The latter does well to return the ball to Sugawara, who then looks to fire the ball beyond Verbruggen with his right foot from inside the box. The effort is a tame one, though, and the Dutch goalkeeper gathers the ball comfortably.
Japan have seen more of the ball in the second half (44.7%, compared to 30.8% in the first), but they're struggling to unlock the Dutch defence at the moment. The team in orange are looking relatively comfortable right now as they look to see out their 2-1 lead.
Summerville's strike to restore the Dutch's lead means he is the first player to see his first international goal come at the World Cup since Daley Blind against Brazil in 2014.
Japan make another change as Doan makes way for Sugawara.
Japan's Watanebe also goes off for Tomiyasu.
Japan's Kubo is also replaced, making way for Ogawa.
GREAT SAVE BY SUZUKI!! The Japan goalkeeper is called into action as Gakpo cuts in from the left before looking to steer the ball inside the near post. Suzuki did well to stay alert there and prevent the Dutch from adding a third.
Depay steps up to take the resulting corner and floats a lovely ball onto the head of Van Hecke, who looks to nod it in the top right-hand corner. There's not enough on the effort, though, and the ball floats into the grateful hands of Suzuki.
Gravenberch is only the second Netherlands player on record (from 1966) to assist two goals in his first World Cup appearance. The other was Daley Blind against Spain in 2014.
The Netherlands' second goalscorer Summerville is replaced by Koopmeiners.
The Dutch make a series of changes as Depay comes on for Malen.
