Sesko rounded Pokatilov and rolled into an empty net to make it 3-0 before half-time as the game was taken away from the Champions League debutants. The second half was a significantly more low-key affair, though Martinez had the easiest of goals to stretch the lead after Pokatilov got in a muddle from Zirkzee's backheel, which came from Fernandes' quickly taken free-kick. United's superior xG of 3.67 to 0.89 gives you an indication of the gulf in class but, fair play to United, they did a very professional job. Bigger tests lie in store for Carrick's men, who travel to the Metropolitano to face Atletico Madrid for their next Champions League clash. This second half has, as expected, been played at a much lower tempo, but United are still well in control and that fourth goal comes as little surprise. Carrick will surely use his remaining subs shortly.

United work another fine move deep in Sabah territory, and Lepinjica crudely brings it to an end with a trip on Mount. It's a clear yellow.

Zirkzee looks to make an immediate impact, and it opens up for him 30 yards from goal. he makes poor connection with the shot, though, and Pokatilov makes the easy save.
