Full-time arrives at a damp Vitality Stadium as Bournemouth lose grasp of a one-goal lead to be pegged back to 1-1 by Everton. Evanilson raced onto a long Rayan ball, and turned James Tarkowski inside and out on the right side. He then found the midfielder on the edge of the area to power a low, deflected effort past Jordan Pickford and into the bottom-left corner. Fortunately for the travelling Toffees, their club captain would redeem himself and restore parity in stoppage time. Hayden Hackney sent in one of the day's many corners, and the deep delivery from the left was misjudged, allowing Tarkowski to pounce and swivel a ferocious effort back across Petrovic with aplomb. This powerful strike still saw Everton fire below their 1.72 xG, while a frustrated Bournemouth wait for their first win of the campaign after this sub-2.14 xG outing.
