Can there be any words to describe that ending? Maitland-Niles’ remarkable stoppage-time finish snatches a 2-2 draw for Everton at home to Manchester United. A slow first half saw Fernandes denied by the crossbar, while Barry spurned a glorious headed opportunity. However, just a minute into the second half, Mbeumo broke the deadlock when his mazy run from the right flank ended with a fine, curling finish past Pickford. Tarkowski then stopped Cunha from making it 2-0 before George thumped past Lammens with seven minutes remaining to level. Sesko then stepped up with two minutes left to head home from Shaw’s delivery, only for Maitland-Niles to thrash in a ridiculous leveller in the sixth minute of stoppage time on his debut. Moyes will feel his side deserved a point, at least, having accumulated 1.01 xG to United’s 0.72. Everton next visit Tottenham on Saturday, while Man Utd host Manchester City after facing Sabah at home in their Champions League opener. What a way to mark your debut, as Maitland-Niles hammers home a glorious leveller in the sixth minute of stoppage time, making it 2-2. Dewsbury-Hall is crowded out near the penalty spot after Hackney cuts back, but the loose ball rolls out to Everton’s debutant. Maitland-Niles, from all of around 25 yards out, curls a perfect, right-footed effort into the top-left corner. It’s bedlam inside the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and what an introduction for Maitland-Niles!
Time is running out for Everton to find a late equaliser. Grealish runs at Mazraoui before George offloads for Hackney, who hooks comfortably over Lammens' goal from a tight, left-sided angle.
Into the second of five additional minutes, Dewsbury-Hall dispossesses Dorgu before Barry frees George, who hammers into the side-netting. A belated offside flag cuts short any chance of a leveller, regardless.
Carrick is shutting up shop. He throws on Mazraoui for Shaw, who set up Sesko's headed finish just minutes earlier.
Both of Sesko's last two away goals in the Premier League have given United the lead at Everton (also 1-0 in February). The Red Devils forward seems to love this game!

George (20 years, 214 days) is Everton's youngest goalscorer in the Premier League since Branthwaite against Chelsea in December 2021 (19y 172d). How pivotal could that leveller prove?
Fernandes finds space on the right-hand side before angling a deft delivery towards the penalty spot, where Sesko heads comfortably wide. The Man Utd striker will be disappointed with that effort.
Having been cautioned minutes before George's leveller, Dalot also makes way for Yoro.
George's goal has forced Carrick into action. He brings off Mainoo for Santos.
Hackney does well to keep the attack alive, bouncing a pass off Barry before picking up the loose ball and feeding George, who thumps in a glorious equaliser.
GOOOOOOALLLLLLLLL! EVERTON LEVEL THROUGH GEORGE! It's 1-1 as the Hill Dickinson erupts! Having impressed throughout the first half, the former Chelsea youngster grabs his first goal for the Toffees. Hackney offloads to his right after Martinez fails to clear before George drives at Shaw inside the area and thumps into the top-right corner. Lammens appears caught off-guard, and may feel he should have done better at his near post.
SAVE! Fernandes comes back onto the pitch to a chorus of jeers from the home crowd. Everton eventually restart with Hackney's free-kick towards the near post before Branthwaite sees his flicked header punched away acrobatically by Lammens.
Brooks continues to dish out the yellow cards. Dalot is the next player in the referee's book for a foul on the right-hand side. The United full-back knows exactly what he is doing after pulling back Grealish.
Maguire takes exception to the lack of stoppage for Fernandes' injury, and the centre-back gets shown a yellow card for his protests.
Dalot dispossesses Grealish but soon gives the ball back to Everton. Meanwhile, Fernandes is down in the middle of the pitch but the hosts show no sign of stopping. Mainoo eventually pings clear after tackling Hackney, and Fernandes will receive some medical attention.
Garner drops to the floor and limps off. The Everton midfielder is seemingly struggling with a muscle issue, and will make way for Maitland-Niles' debut from the bench.
Moyes rolls the dice further. He sends on former Middlesbrough captain, Hackney, for Rohl. That may mean Everton move to a three-man defence, or another player is going to be out of position at right-back.
Dewsbury-Hall sees a loose ball fall his way but makes a mess of his effort, rushing and scuffing well wide of the target. The Everton midfielder has had a handful of chances in this half, but is yet to make one count.
With under 20 minutes remaining, can Everton find a leveller? Moyes may be out of options from the bench, having already sent on loanee Grealish and moved George over to the other flank.
United also bring off Cunha, introducing out-and-out striker, Sesko.
Rashford's game is over as Carrick sends on Dorgu to replace the United winger.
