The full-time whistle sounds to signal unwanted history at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which witnesses its first ever 0–0 draw in the Premier League between Spurs and Everton! Tottenham failed to score for a fourth league game in a row – doing so for the first time in their existence despite generating 0.64 xG in their fourth match of the season. The bulk of that came via that flurry of first-half chances early on, but Spurs too went close in the second, seeing Fernandes and Bergvall both force Pickford into action at either end of the half. Blocks from Branthwaite and co kept Kudus, Tonali and Tel at bay, but Everton took confidence from this and produced 1.17 xG themselves, with Kinsky keeping out efforts from Barry and Dewsbury-Hall as Tottenham's defence was opened up. George, Johnson and Dewsbury-Hall all had chances to find a second-half winner for the Toffees, who return to Merseyside still unbeaten with a win and three straight draws in the bag. Tottenham's wait for a first victory – and a goal – goes on, but after back-to-back draws and clean sheets respectively, Roberto De Zerbi will hope his side have something to build on, especially with Aston Villa and Manchester United coming up.

Dewsbury-Hall delivers the corner his shot won, but the cross can only be met by a glancing Armstrong header which skews well wide.
OVER!!! Everton advance up the other end as Grealish links up with Hackney, who in turn tees Dewsbury-Hall up for a first-time strike which loops over the top of the bar via the slightest of deflections!
Well play just three added minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with both sides still chasing the goal which would surely win this game from here!
BLOCKED!! Kudus' corner is punched half-clear by Pickford at his back post and falls for Tel, who cuts inside and drills a low shot towards goal, which Armstrong steers behind at his near post!
SAVED!!! They've not gone much closer than that, Spurs!! A poor Pickford clearance puts Armstrong in all sorts of trouble, and his pocket is picked with ease. Savio squares for Bergvall, who takes aim from the edge of the area, but his curling, bottom corner-bound effort is tipped just around the outside of the post by Pickford at full stretch!
A yellow card is raised towards De Zerbi's dugout, with the Tottenham boss booked for dissent on the touchline as his and Spurs' frustrations grow with every passing minute.
Van Hecke has moved into right-back and links up with Kudus ahead of him, with the Ghanaian cutting inside and slotting a pass in behind the Everton defence, which ultimately finds no-one but Pickford.
Moments after sending a half-chance header over the bar, Gray comes off for new signing Tosin Adarabioyo, who will play right-back and look to add a bit more attacking height as we approach the final five minutes of this game.
Maddison brings Savio into play on the break as the Brazilian steps inside Garner, but he's brought to ground by a trailing leg and the versatile Everton midfielder is booked.
Everton's Branthwaite has made more blocks than any other player in the Premier League so far this season (10), doubling his tally with five in this game alone to continually keep Spurs at bay.
BLOCKS!! Savio and Robertson both send slick, inside passes towards the centre as Tonali arrives late – with the Italian's 20-yard strike forcing a dive from Pickford, but Branthwaite makes another brave block before the ball can reach him. Spurs return serve through Kudus and his far-post cross falls for Savio, whose curling effort is nodded over the bar by Armstrong!
Tottenham will end this game with Kudus on the right, Savio switching to the left, Maddison playing in his natural number 10 role and Tel moving up front, with De Zerbi still clearly searching for the right combination to finally get a first Premier League victory over the line this season.
De Zerbi's latest switch sees James Maddison brought on late for the hosts, with Marmoush's withdrawal meaning there'll be yet another shake-up to the formation of Tottenham's attack.
Maitland-Niles hasn't quite had the impact he made against Manchester United last week, and comes off for Jake O'Brien to see this game out at right-back for the Toffees.
That miss will be Johnson's last contribution, as the Welshman is replaced by another one of Everton's summer signings in the form of Hayden Hackney.
OVER!!! Garner gets free of Spurs' press with a superb turn before feeding Dewsbury-Hall down the left side of the box, and he in turn squares for Johnson. The ex-Tottenham forward fires a side-footed effort towards Kinsky's goal, but gets his first-time finish horribly wrong and skews it over the top!
Johnson tries a cross towards Barry in the box which is cleared away by Van Hecke, but after Armstrong slides in to return possession to him, the Welshman whips another ball in and only Van Hecke's header denies Barry a clear path towards goal.
CHANCE!! Robertson, Tel and Bergvall all combine before the Swede sends a dangerous-looking cross towards the back post, but the arriving Savio can't steer his volley goalwards and Pickford happily cleans things up at the back for Everton!
Spurs’ Tel had completed more dribbles than any other player in the Premier League prior to kick-off (10), and successfully takes on Maitland-Niles after switching to the left wing, with Marmoush moving up front as the number nine.
Tonali takes Kudus' clever flick in his stride and advances before being scythed down from behind by Dewsbury-Hall. The referee plays advantage with Spurs on the attack, but after Savio's shot into a crowd of bodies is blocked, he comes back to book the Everton midfielder.
SAVED!!! Kinsky bails Tottenham – and himself – out at the back!! A loose pass from the Spurs keeper is sent straight to Dewsbury-Hall on the edge of the box, but Kinsky responds with a strong parry and then has a few choice words with his defenders!
David Moyes also delivers a change from his bench as Jack Grealish comes on for the second game of his second loan spell at Everton, replacing George down that left flank.
Mohammed Kudus also comes on for Fernandes as a new number 10, playing in behind Tel as De Zerbi mixes things up further.
