Everton v Coventry
Play By Play
Four second-half goals liven up a damp clash on Merseyside as Everton fight back against Coventry City to win 3-1 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. The first half was one of untaken chances and a reasonable penalty claim against Tarkowski. With the visitors looking more lively, it only seemed right they snatched the lead through Gboho in the second half. Turning in the box, the recent arrival from Toulouse punished the Toffees' inability to clear a bundling move to poke artfully past Pickford in the 52nd minute. This clearly came as a wake-up call for the men in blue, as four minutes later, they were level with Barry heading in well from a mischievous Mykolenko cross. Five minutes after his first goal, the towering Frenchman rose to a George cross at the right post and turned the game around. Despite a brief question of handball, he powered home from close range for his 10th goal in all competitions. Nine minutes from the 90, Barry capped off a fine display by turning provider. In something of a role reversal, he sent Dewsbury-Hall darting in behind on the left before the midfielder sumptuously squeezed past Rushworth at his near post. After this 2.25xG-topping performance, Everton now celebrate three wins on the trot in the league and cup to go from seventh to fifth. While they worked well around their 1.4 xG, a frustrated Coventry continue in 16th at the time of writing. Thanks for joining us tonight. Goodbye!
FULL-TIME: EVERTON 3-1 COVENTRY CITY
Hackney powers on target, but Rushworth is there to get behind it routinely.
Everton are cruising at the minute. Well, until Barry gives the home fans another reason to love him with a fine sliding challenge to stop a hoof upfield.
TCHAOUNA! Hamer puts through an outstanding ball to his fellow substitute, and the Frenchman whizzes a low effort across the goalmouth from practically over on the left byline!
Up goes the board. There'll be a minimum of six minutes of added time here.

After another eye-catching performance, George heads off for Charly Alcaraz.

Following his rather comical yellow card, Branthwaite heads off for Michael Keane.

Not out of the woods in any case, Yirenkyi is booked for an earlier attempted pull on George on the left flank.

After a heavy touch out from the back, Branthwaite slides through his Yirenkyi to earn himself a yellow card.

The final change comes up top, as Awoniyi is replaced by young Sidiki Cherif.

The third alteration sees Sakamoto swapped out for Loum Tchaouna. His effort from the first half is one of those that, if taken, really could've changed the complexion of this match.

The next departure is Rudoni. On comes Gustavo Hamer.

After powering a free-kick over to Pinnock and behind, Torp's withdrawal for Matt Grimes comes as the first of four Coventry changes late on.
CLOSE AGAIN! After Pickford is called out at one end, the blues flood forward as George forces a stop from Rushworth! The rebound comes to the head of Barry, but he can't nod it in!
Talk about a favoured side. Eleven of Dewsbury-Hall's 14 Premier League goals have been taken with his left foot.
What a pass from Barry. It's an outstanding finish from the left, but that ball through was played just at the right time as the Englishman stayed onside.

GOOOAAALLLL! 3-1! HOW'S HE SQUEEZED THAT IN? Dewsbury-Hall darts in on the left as Barry turns provider with a peach of a pass through the lines. The former Leicester and Chelsea man runs on and lashes it between Rushworth and the near post! It's like threading the eye of a needle!
After George fires off target, Barry surges forward to conjure further impact. Alas, his ball from the left finds no one in Everton blue.
It's been the method for their scoring tonight... Everton have attempted 19 crosses in this match, higher than their season average of 18.6 in the Premier League. With Barry in there causing chaos, who can blame them?
After Thomas-Asante heads off target in one phase, Mfuni blasts over from miles out in the next.

Coventry also go for a switch-up, as scorer Gboho makes way for the rapid and direct wingplay of Brandon Thomas-Asante.

The final Everton alteration for now sees Armstrong replaced by Hayden Hackney, who was one of the scorers in his side's 3-1 win over Newcastle in the EFL Cup.

The next switch sees Dibling make way for Brennan Johnson.

Changes now for Everton. Moyes opts for a triple change, and the first sees Rohl head off for Jake O'Brien.
