Play By Play

The full-time whistle goes then, and it's a rare win for Tottenham at Stamford Bridge as they defeat 10-man Chelsea 2-0! It's their first win at the home of their London rivals since April 2018, and just their second at Stamford Bridge in the past 37 years! It was a very tepid first half, and in truth the second took a while to get going as well. But Spurs took the lead with a literal helping hand from Penders, who punched Fernandes' corner beyond his own goalline. Palmer then saw red for a second bookable offence when he hacked at Gallagher, having earlier reacted badly to a Fernandes handball. Tel then put the game beyond doubt, drilling into the bottom-left corner at the end of a fantastic solo run. Psychologically, this feels very big for Tottenham, who had only won their first league game of the season at home to Coventry last time out. De Zerbi's side had the higher xG of 0.74 to a poor 0.43 for Chelsea, and though it might seem like there wasn't a lot in the game, Spurs were far the better team. It's a first home defeat for Alonso, whose side are fourth but could drop after Sunday's game. Spurs, meanwhile, are up to 12th after back-to-back Premier League wins. Thanks for joining us for this one, folks. Until next time!

FULL-TIME: CHELSEA 0-2 TOTTENHAM

90'+5'

Tottenham supporters are giving it the "ole!" now from the away end. They are closing on a famous away win at Stamford Bridge.

90'+3'

Kulusevski tries to cut inside Pelestra, but drills his shot at the Chelsea wing-back.

90'+1'ChelseaYellow Card

Rogers goes into the book now for swiping at Gallagher. It wasn't a nice one that, it was very petulant.

90'

There will be a minimum of seven additional minutes to play here at Stamford Bridge.

89'Tottenham HotspurSubstitution

And here's a second sub appearance for Kulusevski following his lengthy lay-off. Kudus comes off in his place.

89'Tottenham HotspurSubstitution

Tel's last action is that fine solo goal, then, as Davies comes on to keep things tight at the back.

88'ChelseaSubstitution

Well, it feels like the horse has bolted, but here comes Welbeck for Chelea as Neto takes a seat.

87'Tottenham HotspurGoal

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL! TEL HAS SURELY SETTLED THIS GAME NOW! Oh, it's a lovely goal. The winger, in truth, has been pretty lacking with his final output. But, on this occasion, he marauds from the left flank, skips inside Lacroix, then drills low into the bottom-left corner from 20 yards beyond the reach of Penders! Tottenham lead Chelsea 2-0 now!

86'

Tottenham win the ball high again, and Kudus slides in Solanke, whose shot across goal is saved by Penders. Tonali slams the rebound wide from the edge of the box.

85'

Tel breaks forward into the area again, but just as he's about to slide it across, Acheampong slides in to concede the corner. This time Tottenham can't do anything with it.

84'

Not including rescinded cards, that was Chelsea's 100th red card in Premier League history, the third team to reach this after Everton (113) and Arsenal (110).

82'

After Palmer eventually leaves the pitch, Porro takes the free-kick. It hits the wall, stops in the area briefly, but Penders gets out to collect.

80'ChelseaRed Card

IT GETS WORSE FOR CHELSEA AS PALMER IS SENT OFF! Gallagher slides in to win the ball, and Palmer stands on his ankle. It's a very naughty challenge, and it's a second yellow and subsequent red for Chelsea's talisman!

79'ChelseaYellow Card

Neto is sent into the book now for bringing down Porro.

78'

Penders threw his water bottle down in frustration, and tried - tamely - to ask for a foul from Van Hecke. But it's a really bad moment for the 21-year-old.

77'Tottenham HotspurOwn Goal

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! TOTTENHAM LEAD AT STAMFORD BRIDGE! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Oh, it's a nightmare for Penders. Fernandes swings in the aforementioned corner, and the Blues' back-up goalkeeper - under pressure from Van Hecke - punches it, and it spoons high over his own goalline! Lacroix tried his best to make the clearance, but he couldn't stop it going over the line. Tottenham lead Chelsea 1-0!

76'

Well, Chelsea are not happy at all here. Solanke breaks clear, and they're convinced he was offside, but he wasn't. He lays the ball back for Fernandes, who drills his shot low but it's deflected for a corner. Can Spurs finally make use of a set-piece?

75'

Among those of raft of cards earlier, it turns out De Zerbi was also booked by Kavanagh. Back on the pitch, Kudus tries to get clear down the right, but Neto shepherds the ball out of play.

74'

Estevao's first action was to swing in the free-kick after that brief furore. But it's poorly executed. Later on, though, Chelsea work it into the area for the Brazilian, who fires one into the side-netting from a tight angle.

72'ChelseaSubstitution

There's a warm reception here as Esetvao enters the fray to replace Quenda.

72'Tottenham HotspurYellow Card

Fernandes is booked as well, it might be for handball on the floor as it turns out.

71'ChelseaYellow Card

And it's a booking for Palmer too for his reaction to Fernandes. It was needless from the Chelsea man.

71'Tottenham HotspurYellow Card

So, there's a card for Van de Ven, understandably, for wiping out Caicedo.
