Nottm Forest v Man City
Play By Play
The full-time whistle goes, and it's a Liam Delap-inspired 3-1 victory for Nottingham Forest over Manchester City. There were no home wins, and no home goals for the Tricky Trees before this game and there was an almighty public calling out from Glasner last week. But, football eh? Who writes these scripts? Admittedly, Forest had a big helping hand from City, with Gvardiol making a hash of things for Cunha to steal in, maraud forward, and roll into the bottom-left corner to get Forest on the way. More weak play in midfield allowed Delap to tear forward and smash past Donnarumma to double the lead and make it 2-0 by half-time. City found another level early in the second half, and Cherki's beautifully executed half-volley reduced the arrears and led to a prolonged spell of City pressure. But Forest weathered the storm, and Delap started and ended a wonderful counter, leathering a left-footed effort into the top-right corner after being played in by Gibbs-White, which led to Glasner racing down the touchline to join in the celebrations. Forest's xG of 0.98 tells you everything you need to know about the quality of Delap's strikes, while City's 1.57 shows they did not turn their pressure into dominance. The upshot is Forest climb out of the bottom three to 16th, while City have now lost three on the spin in the league after winning their opening seven league games. City are still second but are now six points off champions Arsenal at the top of the table. Thanks for joining us for this one, folks. Until next time!
FULL-TIME: NOTTINGHAM FOREST 3-1 MANCHESTER CITY

Jesus also goes into the book for time wasting, he took a little too long doing up his shoelace.

Netz clips Foden in the middle of the Forest half. He'll take that yellow all day long.
Forest are nearly home now.
There were will be a minimum of four additional minutes for Forest to see out here.
Murillo pinches another ball high up the pitch. Gibbs-White then tries to go around Nunes, but it's good defending. Time is running out for City now.

Well, what a night this has been for Delap. Two wonderful goals against his former club, which look like sending Forest to three points. He gets a rousing reception from the home fans as Jesus comes on for the final few minutes.
Five minutes plus change to go in this one, then. Will Forest see out the job or can City mount a late comeback? They need to act quickly if so.
This is the first time Man City have conceded three goals against a team starting the day in the Premier League relegation zone since September 2019 (3-2 versus Norwich City) and first time after at least 10 games since December 2009 (3-3 versus Bolton Wanderers).
Netz gets forward, but overhits his cross a little. Forest are doing a decent job of keeping the ball at the moment, though.

And Forest make a change too as Yates is replaced by Sangare.

Fernandez comes off to the customary chorus of boos as Foden comes on to try and help rescue the situation.
O'Reilly wins a corner for City, it's whipped in but Sels collects.
Delap is just the second player to score twice in a Premier League match against Man City having previously played for them in the competition, after Nicolas Anelka with Bolton in December 2006
It's excellent work from Gibbs-White to pick out the run of Delap, but this goal was all about the finish.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL! FOREST HIT CITY ON THE COUNTER! Oh, what an absolute beauty this is from Delap. City were peppering the Forest goal, but they break the lines as Delap plays it through to Gibbs-White. He has support on both sides, but goes left back to Delap. The former Chelsea striker takes it in his stride and lashes a left-foot effort into the top-right corner. Glasner runs down the touchline to join in the celebrations, and Forest are 3-1 up!
Fernandez has a shot blocked, then so does Ndiaye, as City pile on the pressure.
Murillo is winning a lot of tackles, but he keeps following up with some wayward passing. Forest need just a touch more composure.

That's what you call taking one for the team. Ndiaye was racing to get away, and Ndoye - who has only recently come on - pulls him down. His team-mates congratulate him for it, they knew they were in bother if not.
THAT WAS CLOSE! Oh, Forest oh so nearly steal a goal. Murillo steals into to pinch the ball of Enzo, and quickly feeds Yates. His effort hits Anderson, spoons in the air, and lads on the roof of the goal. Donnarumma punches the follow-up corner away.

Munoz has struggled in the second half against Doku, and he's replaced now by Netz.

That booking is McAtee's last involvement as he's replaced by Ndoye.

Delap is fuming that he doesn't get a free-kick when being hassled by Khusanov. McAtee then comes in and crunches Anderson, earning a yellow card in the process.
Delap brings some much-needed relief, breaking down the left and getting a shot away that Nunes blocks. There's some activity down on the Forest bench now.
