News: 6 days agoEwers (coach's decision) is inactive and working as the Dolphins' emergency third quarterback for Sunday's Week 13 game against New Orleans.

Spin: This is a familiar role for Ewers, who is behind both Tua Tagovailoa and Zach Wilson on Miami's QB depth chart. In order for Ewers to be eligible to enter Sunday's contest, both Tagovailoa and Wilson would need to exit due to injury, illness or ejection.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Ewers was selected by Miami in the seventh round of April's draft. He has a good arm, but his 2024 and career passing efficiency was underwhelming across the board. He finished his career (36 starts) with below-average marks relative to this class, despite a conservative 7.8 aDOT and having rarely seen pressure (class-low 24% rate). Ewers was not a factor with his legs (2.0 carries per start in his career). He'll battle Zach Wilson for work behind Tua Tagovailoa.
