News: 1 day agoBurden brought in all four targets for 130 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for seven yards in the Bears' 30-24 win over the Patriots on Thursday.
Spin: Burden comfortably led the Bears in receiving yards with the second-highest total of his career, and he added his second touchdown catch of the season on a 24-yard grab just before halftime. He also had a game-long 58-yard catch late in the first quarter to set up a D'Andre Swift four-yard touchdown one play later, and the fleet-footed receiver has accumulated 225 of his 491 receiving yards on the season in the last two games alone. Burden has arguably overtaken Rome Odunze as Chicago's most explosive pass-catching weapon, and he should play a critical role again in a Week 8 road showdown against the Seahawks on Monday night, Nov. 2.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Burden enters his second NFL season as one of the most popular breakout candidates in fantasy. The 2025 second-round pick played sparingly during most of his rookie season, but flashed elite efficiency when called upon, ranking in the top five among wide receivers in catch rate (77%), yards per target (10.8), RAC (7.3) and YPRR (2.9). Burden is obviously an unproven commodity (he has two career top-20 fantasy outings, after all), but with DJ Moore no longer on the roster, he's a lock for a larger role and very well could lead Chicago in targets. He could cost a pretty penny on draft day, but Burden, 22, is a fine WR3 target with upside for more.
