Spin: The 23-year-old is entering his third NFL season after being selected in the fourth round of the 2024 Draft by then-coach Mike McDaniel. Now playing under a new coaching staff, Wright appears to be ahead of Ollie Gordon and special-teams player Carlos Washington for backup duties behind De'Von Achane. Wright carried the ball 70 times for 288 yards (4.1 YPC) and two touchdowns last season but hasn't been asked to catch the ball in the pros, with just eight grabs for 52 yards across 25 career regular-season contests.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Wright will once again compete with second-year Ollie Gordon II for backup reps behind feature back De'Von Achane. Wright has barely cleared 70 touches during each of his first two NFL seasons, but he has shined at times, including a 24-107-1 rushing line in Week 14 last season. The 2024 fourth-round pick has been effective as a rusher, but hasn't been involved in the passing game (15 targets in 25 games). The 23-year-old would be worth adding only in the event of an Achane injury and even then, it's possible he would split (or be on the short end of a committee) with Gordon in a rebuilding offense that may not score very often.
