Spin: Johnson's reps in each of the first two practices of Week 7 prep were limited due to a neck injury, and he was sidelined entirely for Friday's session. He's trending toward missing a second consecutive game, so Thomas Fidone and Chris Manhertz would both be in line for more work behind Isaiah Likely in the event that Johnson is ruled out for Sunday's contest.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Johnson was a solid find by the Giants in the fourth round of the 2024 draft, but he's headed for a reduced role this season following New York's signing of Isaiah Likely and Malik Nabers' return to health. The change comes after Johnson ranked top 12 among tight ends in both snaps and routes, but 23rd in catches and 19th in yards last season. Johnson was busy near the goal line (seven end zone targets), but struggled with drops (tight end-high nine), which led to a poor 63% catch rate. Johnson finished 23rd in fantasy PPG and now may be lucky to see a target or two per game. He's well off the fantasy radar.
