News: 5 days agoCook rushed 22 times for 95 yards and a touchdown and brought in all three targets for 58 yards in the Bills' 33-30 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
Spin: Cook put together productive runs throughout the afternoon, and he added a 26-yard reception as part of an impressive day as a pass catcher. The standout running back extended his streak of games with at least one rushing touchdown to five as well, crossing the goal line from three yards out with 4:43 remaining in the contest. Cook has put up between 75 and 154 rushing yards in the last five games after opening the season with a modest 57-yard showing on the ground against the Texans, and he's already amassed 716 yards from scrimmage over six games going into a Week 8 home showdown on Sunday, Nov. 1, against the Ravens following a Week 7 bye.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Cook signed a contract extension last offseason and was immediately vaulted into the biggest role of his career. The 2022 second-round NFL draft pick finished in the top five among backs in carries, rushing yards (league-high 1,621), touchdowns and yards per carry (5.25). The one limiting factor in Cook's fantasy output was a minimal receiving role (his 40 targets ranked 26th among RBs), but he still came through with a sixth-place finish in fantasy points. The 26-year-old is set to play the same role in Joe Brady's scheme and will be a candidate for his third straight double-digit touchdown campaign as long as Josh Allen is under center. Consider Cook a midrange RB1.
