Spin: A limited practice participant to begin the week after he exited this past Sunday's loss to the Browns due to the shoulder issue, Bateman cleared up any concern about his health by taking every rep during Thursday's session. While he'll be ready to play Sunday versus the Bengals, Bateman's standing as the No. 2 wideout on the depth chart behind Zay Flowers could be threatened after rookie Ja'Kobi Lane produced well in his return from injured reserve last week, logging four catches for 40 yards on five targets.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Bateman is entering his sixth season in Baltimore following an injury-plagued 2025 campaign in which he was limited to a career-low 224 receiving yards in 13 games. After scoring nine touchdowns on only 45 receptions in 2024, Bateman had "regression" written all over him entering last season, but it was worse than expected. The 2021 first-round pick saw his target share fall from 15.4% to a career-low 11.4% and his only double-digit fantasy effort came in Week 3. The 26-year-old remains second on Baltimore's depth chart behind Zay Flowers, but even in a new scheme and with a healthy Lamar Jackson under center, he's unlikely to produce his first top-35 fantasy campaign. Bateman isn't the most appealing late-round draft pick.
