News: 13 hours agoRobinson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.
Spin: Robinson made a surprise appearance on the Falcons' first Week 7 practice report Wednesday as limited due to a hamstring injury, but he capped the week with back-to-back DNPs and thus will miss his first game of the season Sunday. Atlanta will need to bring up Khalil Herbert from the practice squad Saturday to provide support behind top RB Bijan Robinson this weekend.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: After a one-year stint as Christian McCaffrey's backup in San Francisco, Robinson signed with Atlanta where he'll now operate as a change-of-pace back behind Bijan Robinson. The 2022 third-round pick soaked up 200-plus touches in each of his first three NFL seasons (all with Washington) prior to dipping to 100 touches in 2025. Robinson is a big back who can handle early-down and short-yardage work, but he's not much of a factor as a receiver (92 career targets). He's yet to post a top-20 fantasy campaign and he won't come close to that in 2026 unless Bijan Robinson suffers a major injury. The 27-year-old back is no more than a solid insurance stash.
