The Cleveland Cavaliers-Detroit Pistons series took a turn in the Cavs' favor Wednesday when they pulled off an overtime road upset. The big win has Cleveland at -320 to win the series and 30-1 for the NBA Finals, while Detroit will have to fight its way back from +260 series odds and 60-1 championship odds.
New York will play the winner of that series, and the Knicks have firmly entered the title contenders' conversation, shortening to +550 to win the NBA Finals and an odds-on -215 to win the Eastern Conference following their convincing sweep of Philadelphia.
The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to be the favorites to win the NBA Finals (-175) after sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in a close Game 4 on Monday night. The Thunder are -275 to win the Western Conference as they await the winner of the semifinal series between the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio took a 3-2 series lead on Tuesday and has seen its championship odds shorten to +340, while Minnesota's lengthened from 70-1 to 150-1 following the lopsided 126-97 defeat.
