As the 2026-27 regular season approaches, the Carolina Hurricanes remain the favorites to repeat as Stanley Cup champions, just as they were when the market opened in June. However, a busy offseason, which included the blockbuster acquisition of winger Brady Tkachuk, has moved the Florida Panthers into co-favorite position with Carolina at +650.

In fact, several contenders saw their championship odds improve over the summer, including the Colorado Avalanche (+800 to +700) and Edmonton Oilers (11-1 to +800). The Vegas Golden Knights (+850) and Tampa Bay Lightning (12-1) held pat but still round out the top six. The Washington Capitals also made a big move up from 50-1 to 17-1 after some high-profile transactions of their own.

Upon losing Tkachuk to Florida, the Ottawa Senators lengthened from 16-1 to 35-1. Other notable fallers include the Buffalo Sabres (25-1 to 30-1), Columbus Blue Jackets (35-1 to 60-1) and Boston Bruins (60-1 to 100-1). The Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames round out the odds board at 1,000-1 each.
