Spin: Gordon was injured in the Dolphins' second preseason game and missed the final exhibition contest last week. Across two preseason appearances, Gordon rushed 11 times for 47 yards and caught one of his two targets for 10 yards. He's competing with Jaylen Wright for the backup role behind De'Von Achane this season.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Gordon is battling Jaylen Wright for backup work behind lead back De'Von Achane in Miami. Gordon was used sparingly as a rookie and didn't exactly move the needle. The 2025 sixth-round pick averaged an ugly 2.84 yards per carry on 70 attempts and 3.6 yards per target on the nine balls thrown his way. Gordon is still very young (22 years old), and his size (6-foot-1, 226 pounds) adds to his long-term intrigue. He'll have some insurance appeal if he beats out Wright for primary backup duties.
