News: 3 days agoSmith-Njigba brought in six of 11 targets for 118 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' 34-17 loss to the Bears on Monday night.

Spin: Smith-Njigba was in his usual position of leading the Seahawks across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets, and he crossed the 100-yard mark for the seventh time in eight games this season with a pair of catches on Seattle's final drive of the night. His target total also was his sixth double-digit tally of the campaign, and the absence of Rashid Shaheed (knee) helped reinforce JSN's downfield role even further. Smith-Njigba now will head into a Week 9 home matchup against the Cardinals on Sunday just 15 yards short of his third consecutive 1,000-yard campaign and only a touchdown shy of tying the career-high 10 he recorded over 17 regular-season games last season.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: The reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Smith-Njigba is fresh off a breakout season in which he paced all receivers in target share (36%), receiving yards (1,793), air yards (1,858) and yards per route run (3.8), while finishing no lower than fourth in targets, catches, touchdowns and fantasy points. JSN delivered top-10 fantasy weeks 10 times throughout 2025 and scored at least 13 points in 16 of 17 games. The 24-year-old is just now entering his prime and remains well positioned to handle one-third of the targets in Seattle's Sam Darnold-led offense. Smith-Njigba is an elite fantasy option who should be off the board in the early-to-middle part of Round 1.
