Former NRL enforcers Paul Gallen and Nelson Asofo-Solomona share the boxing ring on Friday evening at TikTok Entertainment Centre in Sydney for a blockbuster heavyweight clash.
Both Gallen and Asofa-Solomona made weight on Thursday, with 'Big Nasty' tipping the scales more than 33kg heavier than the former Sharks superstar.
"I'm here to fight," said Gallen. "I've trained hard. And I'll be confident when I get in the ring. His opponents haven't tested him. He hasn't been hit once. I'll be there and I'll be hitting him."
Gallen holds a professional boxing record of 16-2-1 (8 KOs) and last fought in July, 2025 where he scored a split decision against Sonny Bill Williams.
Asofo-Solomona, meanwhile, made his boxing debut earlier this year and has fought three times for three comfortable wins.
