Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer was temporarily suspended from Twitch on Tuesday after streaming EA Sports FC 27 before the game's release.
Palmer went live on the streaming platform on Tuesday afternoon and spent more than an hour playing the game, with thousands of viewers watching. EA FC 27 is not released worldwide until Sept. 25, with early access beginning on Sept. 18.
Palmer's stream also took place before EA FC's planned gameplay broadcast later on Tuesday. The game's official account appeared on his Twitch chat during the stream, writing (sic): "Errr Cole, weren't we going to do this a bit later? We'll be live at 6 p.m. UK!"
Palmer's stream subsequently ended and his Twitch account displayed a suspension notice.
Palmer responded to the incident on Instagram, tagging Twitch and EA Sports FC and writing: "I was only giving the people what they wanted ... unban me pls."
He later commented "we back soon" on a social media post about the suspension.
Before the stream ended, Palmer also questioned his own rating in the new game.
The England international has been given an overall rating of 85 out of 99 in FC 27, having been rated 87 in last year's edition.
"I need a word with EA. They took two ratings off me," Palmer said during the stream.
"I had one leg for 10 months last season, what do you want me to do?"

Palmer endured an injury-hit 2025-26 campaign, including a groin problem which kept him out for two months.
He also took issue with the pace rating given to Chelsea teammate Morgan Rogers, who has been rated 76 for pace compared with Palmer's 75.
"I don't know how he's got more pace than me but, EA sometimes, man, they're a bit crazy," Palmer said.
