Enzo Maresca has reacted to Manchester City's controversial derby winner by insisting he's still waiting for an apology for a similar Manchester United goal which was allowed to stand three years ago.
Pro Ref chief Howard Webb has said Erling Haaland's goal at Old Trafford on Sunday should have been ruled out because of interference from Enzo Fernández, who was in an offside position.
United have received an apology for the mistake. But asked about the fallout at a news conference on Tuesday, Maresca said City are still waiting for their apology after a Bruno Fernandes goal in the derby was awarded in similar circumstances
Fernandes scored an equaliser in a 2-1 win for United in January 2023 despite Marcus Rashford appearing to interfere from an offside position.
"I think sometimes it goes for you, sometimes it goes against you," Maresca said on Tuesday.
"Three years ago when I was here, it happened exactly the same against Man United. We lost the derby there. The goal was not a regular goal, if you remember. And to be honest, no one apologised.
"We are still waiting for the apology for that goal. Sometimes it happens for you, sometimes it happens against you. It's football."
Maresca is preparing his players for City's Carabao Cup third round tie against Norwich on Thursday.
Phil Foden is suspended after he was sent off at Old Trafford. The England midfielder is set to serve a three-match suspension and won't be available for City until after the international break.

"Especially at halftime, he was very sad, very upset, because he knew that there was something wrong," Maresca said.
"Then after the game he was a little bit more relieved, he was a little bit more happy. And then yesterday he was very good.
"Phil knows that probably the reaction was not a good one, but again, it's finished and we move on."
