News: 9 hours agoThompson (hip) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Spin: Thompson practiced fully Friday after limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday. The fourth-round rookie wideout is expected to see some action on special teams as a returner and should slot in as the Chargers' fourth receiver behind Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and Tre' Harris.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Thompson was selected by the Chargers in the fourth round of April's draft. Thompson is an extremely small and very fast (4.26 40-yard dash) receiver who posted a rookie-class-high 18.5 YPR during his career and handled a massive 43% of Mississippi State's air yards last season. He didn't see much work prior to 2025, however, and figures to operate as a situational deep threat in the pros. He'll battle second-years Tre Harris and KeAndre Lamber-Smith for occasional looks behind Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston this season.
