News: 2 days agoAllen is listed second on the Jets' unofficial depth chart behind Breece Hall.
Spin: Allen worked with the starters for most of the preseason while Hall was sidelined by a groin injury. Hall practiced without limitations Wednesday, as did Isaiah Davis (knee), who is listed third on the team's unofficial depth chart. Allen is listed at 235 pounds and has reportedly bulked up to around 250. The 2024 fourth-round pick's large frame could help Allen command valuable goal-line and short-yardage work even while Hall is healthy.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hopes were high for Allen entering 2025, but a slow start was followed by a season-ending knee injury in Week 4. During Weeks 1-3, Allen played 28% of the Jets' snaps and totaled 67 yards and one touchdown on 16 touches. The 2024 fourth-round pick has shown he can contribute as both a rusher (110 career carries) and receiver (32 targets), but he's simply not going to see the field much as long as feature back Breece Hall is healthy. Allen, 22, has some late-round insurance stash appeal, as he'd likely start over Isaiah Davis in the event of a Hall injury and would thus find himself on the flex radar.
